Smart Cover, which is one of the accessory product by Apple for its iPad 2 has a very unique way of functioning. Unlike others, Apple decided to design a ‘cover’ instead of ‘casing’ for its iPad 2. The price is not that cheap, however it is very useful and neat.

Then, a contender (Anymode) release their own product, called the ‘Smart Case’. The different: attached to a plastic case. So, they will say that it is not a Smart Cover kirf, instead as an innovation (read more here). I would not claim that they violated Apple design, however we can see with our own eyes, the design of the cover is a ‘Smart Cover’ attached to a plastic case.

We know that Smart Cover can be folded to function as a stand and more. Smart Case (by Anymode) also functioning the same way. However, instead of magnet, it utilise the case it has been attached to as the mechanism to remain still at the tablet.

Now, has been design 98% look-alike its competitor, Anymode and Samsung can mislead other to buy the product: the Samsung tablet, as advertised, instead of iPad 2. Therefore, is this the new game of current technology companies? Are they so desperate in cashing up their pocket, that they would do anything including limiting their innovation wide and fresh, and copy their competitor just because they seems to be doing good business and product?

If this keep on going, I bet in the coming years, all tv, phones or tablet will have the same shape, size, and form, but with different brands’ mark.

Why do I choose iPhone 4S over Android or Windows Phone device?

It is simple: I pick anything that works out of the box.

Plus, with the common UI and UX, seamless integration with Mac OSX, 3.5″ touch screen, decent camera 8.0 Mp, superior video recording with stabilization, and most important is the App Store.

With the predicted price of the iPhone by Malaysian telco starting at RM1500, I would grab this phone as soon as possible. Celcom announced that the official launch date for iPhone 4S in Malaysia is on December 16, 2011.

Pray that I have enough money to own and upgrade to the latest iPhone, from my passed-down iPhone 2G which stuck at iPhone OS 3.1.3.

My first introductory and experience handling manual SLR: Nikon FM2n.

Loaded into this beautiful machine is the Fujicolor Superia 200 (24 frames). This is my new learning curve within this photography industry. According to seniors, if I manage to handle this beast successfully, I will be able to use all kind of SLR/DSLR available in the market.

Lomo camera? Neh. Full manual, and with respect to the configuration, I shall accidentally produced lomo-style photos. Haha.

Everyone (or mostly Apple fanboy) is not happy with the event that had been organised by Apple at Cupertino just now. Most of the press and people who follows up live blogs or tweets regarding the event were disappointed because they waited for so long to hear any bit about iPhone 5, but were presented only with iPhone 4s.

The event also covers (or re-covers) the functions and features available in iOS 5, which also due for final release soon enough. Ok, lets take a few positive insight upon the show done by Tim Cook and the team members.

Personally, I would say that Apple is now in the lead for AI (Artificial Intelligence), powerful gaming device (in a smartphone), superior Point-And-Shoot camera, and endless of possibility in real-world usage. Apple has start a new Chasing Up game among its competitors. Wake up guys!

People will quote here and there, saying that Apple has lost to the battle of Voice-based interaction within a smartphone. But, would you agree if I say Apple has done it better than the others? You might call it is the Apple effect onto SIRI. They engineered the AI capability into the system level and I was never impressed by voice assistant, until SIRI by Apple. You just have to admit that SIRI is awesome, and spooky.

Or maybe, you’re afraid to admit because this might be the birth to Skynet.

Next, powerful gaming device. Ops. Did I hear anyone stuck while playing Angry Bird on Android? Or you just have to miss the game because you’re on BlackBerry? Or it is damn hard to find quality 3D games on any smartphone device other than iOS? Dual core processor, together with dual core graphic performance just nailed every single gaming device out there. Haven’t you heard about FIFA 12 for iPad and iPhone?

How about a camera phone? I would say Apple might be late into the megapixel marathon, but they just don’t even care how big is the megapixel of the competitors’ camera because for them, quality is the first issue. Even though you smartphone is occupied with 12mp, with crapy apps and imaging processor, things are as bad as low end camera phone. Boo.

The reason why this post entitled The Chasing Up Game is because Apple always years ahead of their competitor. They always did it better than the others. The non-Apple company always brags about their multicore processors, huge screens, huge camera resolutions, high speed internet capability. But, does this hardware story really up to the real world application? How about the operating system which operates the hardware and handles the user experience of using the device in the real world situation?

I might writing here as a fanboy, but watch closely people. Use the tools that really stand up to its point. Not just for the sake of :

“I don’t wanna be Apple user because I’m not an Apple fanboy” or

“I’ll supporting anything that play against Man United”.

Be brilliant.

iPad 2 is one of the top gadget chased by technology user due to the high standard built and how easy to navigate through this monster. There are a lot of reviews responding to iPad 2 and you can read through all of them to know better how does this beast looks like or its performance.

Apple has been said to reveal software related only at their WWDC event which commence on the 6th June, 2011. The statement from ETNews claims that the late June event is corresponding to the Korean providers; SK Telecom and KT which are among the first to offer the new iPhone 5.

Today, Maxis with its partner, Samsung announced their launch for Google Nexus S, along with the 10 people who got the device and write reviews about it. This is the first phone with official Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Surprisingly, even though this is a brand new Android phone to the world, the phone seem to missed the new Cortex A9 processor which officially adopted into Apple new iPad 2, codename A5.

Apple returns with their new gadget: iPad 2, a sister of their first generation of tablet device named iPad. It is beautiful, astonishing, miracle, and it beat all the game players. It is 1/3 thinner than its predecessor,  two processor cores, 9-times graphic acceleration, and better than the original iPad.

The apps will load faster, you get cameras for video conferencing, speaker on the back, better screen than the original iPad, HDMI output at full 1080p resolution (with aid of connector), the same 10 hours battery life, plus with a gyroscope to help with the orientation of the device. For sure, you can dig up more at its official site.

But, is it worth buying? Should you buy iPad 2 even though you never dream of the original iPad? Lets see if there is anything that can help you with this decision.

Thinking of getting a new one. Should I?
Or should I just wait after I secured myself a job with big oil & gas company, which definitely giving me enough salary to buy new one?
