For those who wants an alternative to Adobe Photoshop, they can choose GIMP as a replacement. However, GIMP interface is not the same as Photoshop arrangement, thus user tend to fall back to Adobe applications. It is because, the GIMP interface itself is confusing and a little less user-friendly. I have tried GIMP before, but it was back then, when I booted into Ubuntu and need to edit some photos.
Therefore, I google for tips and arrangement for GIMP, to make it more usable and friendlier than the default settings. For those who wants to experience an alternative image editing application, you can go for this tips by LaptopLogic. Furthermore, GIMP is a free applications, available by default for Ubuntu, and downloadable for Mac OS and Windows.

GIMP mmg gempak siot…tp disebabkan aku bukan pengguna PS yg pakar..so aku guna GIMP utk benda biasa jer..GIMP ada add on utk customize jd lebih kurang PS, tp aku lupa nama dia..hehe
still experimenting with ubuntu. I guess i try GIMP next. =)
pernah juga nak cuba tapi mcm susah je sbb tak biasa =)
quite good yet powerful application. tapi tah macammane aku boleh ter-install yg language malay punya.huhu
GIMP ni dia nye plugins boleh tahan juga.
Sweet. When my laptop died almost a year ago, I had to live with GIMP for a few months before managing to get my hands on the Adobe CS3 suite installation disc I had at home. I would say that it’s pretty much similar to PS, although some buttons are hard to find. But more importantly, it is released under the GNU license and it’s for free. Everyone can use it without even needing to pay royalties which end up in the pockets of large (and evil) corporations, heh.
Yes. You’re right! hehe. For the time being, I hate the interface, thats all. Not easy to manage.
nak try gak ni
