Dated 21-27 January, year 2009, I went for a very great camp located at Lumut, Perak. The program was named Outward Bound School (OBS), and was sponsored by PETRONAS, as our (scholars) annual program. This event was conducted by Outward Bound Malaysia, Lumut. [link]

*things get blurry when I need to retrieve the memory of the event, durh*

Bla bla bla (about OBML). On the Wednesday, 21 Jan, we (the scholars) gathered at PETRONAS Twin Tower, Tower 1 to aboard our buses, heading towards Lumut. I was late on that morning, as I have to pick Shahul first from Section 7, Shah Alam, UITM back door, as he overnight at his friend’s house, the night before.

Things get worst, when I forgotten that, the path heading to at the back of UITM will be jammed with students and lectures (and might be the security guards too) who rushed to the University. Therefore, we aboard KTM Commuter about 45 minutes before 9.00am. Both of us we among the last 10 persons who arrived late at the pick up point. Haha. Silly me, I forgot that KL / Shah Alam will be packed with people who rushed to their office.

The journey to Lumut took about 4 hours. Worst scenario, our bus took a stop at somewhere-i-forgot-already, specially for those who want to go to restroom and my bus was the only bus which stopped. None of the other buses were there, not even pass through us. So, later, we headed to OBML. Arrived there about noon, we found out that, the other buses took their stop for lunch. WTH! At last, we have to wait for all of them (demmit) if we want to have our lunch, provided by OBML. And guess what, we have to wait them about more than 30 minutes, and went through grouping session, later then we manage to stuff our empty stomach. Chet. Before lunch, we have the opening ceremony. Demmit. I was very hungry. Ergh!

In the dining hall, we have been given a talk about manners in the dining hall, mostly about the attire that we have to obey (ok, I know most of us were sick of it, me too). Lunch, breakfast, or tea, we only have to dress according to the session before it. However, things get differ for dinner. We have to dress smart as in: No sandals – must be shoes, crocs not allowed either, collar t-shirt / shirt, and tucked in. Haha. I was like I’m back to  a boarding school regulations. Chet. Furthermore, to make sure all of us do no encounter food poisoning, we have to use utensils for every time we going to have dinner, breakfast and lunch. Supper or night cap? It depends, sometimes, they served us Curry-puff, so, no need the fork and spoon.

Oh, before I forget, I was in a watch (team / group) named after Gunung Bubu, thus, we were called Bubu. I love my team mates. Hehe. In the team were: Akak TC, Safiq, Syafiq, Syaha, Atok, Liana, Syepah, Cina, Hafiz 1, and Hafiz 2, Naemah, myself and Pudin. Everyone is very cooperative and creative too! *muah*

That night, we had our ice breaking session with our instructor, named Fauzi (yup, my father’s name also Fauzi. hehe) He is funny, cool, ‘jambu’ and easy to get close.. err, maybe friendly sounds better. Whatever, the day ended with that session, and headed back to the dorm.

Aha! The dorms were located on a hill side, meaning that you will have to climb tens to hundreds of stairs to get to your dorm. Being fortunate, my dorm was the lowest dorm compared to Dorm Kinabalu (not so sure), which you need to climb more than 100 steps. Haha. Mine? only 70 steps.

That night, it was very cold. Seriously, I was sweating at first, but, toward the morning, the atmosphere get colder and colder. Haha. I was sleeping and shacking. Yes, with the blanket on. Night everyone. ZZZ.
