Honestly, I restored this post from my trash box. Why? Because I thought that “Why need another post about Avatar? There are tons of writings about this topic. Online and prints.”
However, today I said to myself that I need to note down what I personally want to describe to my readers upon this movie. Don’t worry, mine going to be listed down to easy you guys from reading essay-like post.
Salam to everyone, welcome to new Islamic Year. Greek year? Not that important.
Today, my younger brother went to our school to receive his PMR result. Alhamdulillah, he made it. He scored full flush 8As, as we only allowed to cater 8 subjects for PMR.
For years, my friend and I managed to hold a 6 years top performance school (SBP) in PMR result with our 90.2% of straight As. And, this year, the school has successfully done their job and they managed to break the school own record, but it is just not enough to beat the rest. Other schools have step further up and manage to score with better percentage. Who? I will not disclose them here.
From my personal view and observation, I would like to say that web designer freelancer does grow big from day to day. It was like the mushrooms after a rainy day. The pop out here and there, selling their skills to build a website, but not necessarily the whole package, perhaps, just a design or some coding work.
With this situation on the market, clients seem to overlook those good freelancer and offer them a really low price. A price where it is only sufficient to build one plain HTML page, and nothing more. But, they asked for something as big and awesome as social site or heavy influence of professional site browsing experience. All these feature cost the developers creative thinking, his intelligence copyright and hard work just to make sure the project that they working on, is up to the optimum level, the best of the best.

Alhamdulillah, I safely back in Miri after a week of field work in Kuching. I guess, there are a lot of things I need to catch up but we’ll see how. Tests are getting near, every week. Tutorials, reports, assignments. Anyhoo, the trip in Kuching was not bad at all. Maybe we’re lacking of time, thus were not able to uncover the nice places to visit over there. Maybe next time. Insyallah.
Today we had our Annual General Meeting for the 2nd time. I was given task to prepare a simple montage for the introduction of the ceremony. So, I decided to touch my long-time-installed Adobe After Effect CS4. Without any single clue on how to operate this application, quickly I browse through the internet searching for tutorials and how-to. And finally, I manage to prepare a 50 seconds short clip within 5 hours.
A-PLUS stands for:
Association of Petronas Undergraduate in Sarawak
Here, I clip on together the short animation created using After Effect CS4. It is available in High Definition (HD) quality. Press fullscreen for better experience.
Alhamdulillah. Again, I’m able to meet the most awaited Hijri month, the Ramadhan Al-Mubarak. Therefore, to celebrate this holy month, I’ve designed a collection of wallpaper calendar for all of us. This should remind us that we’re currently in Ramadhan and there are some obligation that we have to follow. Not to forget the greatest night of all, the Lailatul Qadar.
When I was a little kid, my brother and I used to create our own kites. From coconut leaves (what is Lidi in English?), if lucky, we’re using bamboo. These are the essential backbone of the kite. Threads from mom’s sewing kit and newspaper or huge plastic bag as the body of the kite.
Today is officially 1st August, 2009. Like always, Malaysian will celebrate their 52th Independence Day on upcoming 31st August. Thus, in conjunction with the upcoming event, I designed a few wallpapers entitle “1 Malaysia” (one Malaysia) and they are free for download.
A bit of history, Malaysia achieved its independence day on 8th of February 1956, a year before it is officially announced by Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj on 31st August, 1957 at Stadium Merdeka (Independence Stadium) in Kuala Lumpur. However, Sabah and Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaysia on 16th September, 1963.
