Google Chrome (Mac) and Chromium (Mac)

Previously, I showed you how to get Chrome-like for your Mac, code name Chromium. It was a series of daily development for upcoming Chrome, under the base of Chromium project.

However, today I would to share to you the Developer Release of Google Chrome for Mac, an official build of Chrome. With this release of Google Chrome, it is built with auto-update algorithm, code name Courgette, which serves as the agent for updating the browser. The advantages of having this new feature is that when you’re updating to the latest definition and build, it is no longer in full size installer and instead it will only download the core or any relevant updates. This means that the patches size will be smaller and should be faster.

Chrome — a web or internet browser developed by Google and was based on a open-source webkit bassed browser, codename Chromium. Among the famous internet browser such as Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer (Windows only), Chrome pops from Google and manage to reside on people computer, except Mac.

Chrome was known as one of the fastest Javascript engin available, the V8. Moreover, Chrome was also known as the first browser with independent Tab-Processing, unlike the others. This concept protects other active tabs if in any case one of the tab producing error or hangs.

Back to my topic, for the time being, Chrome only available for Windows based operating system, and not Mac or Linux. However, the foundation project of Chrome, codename Chromium has a solution for Mac or Linux. Sorf of. Because this build is currently under constructions and available as Alpha Build. This means that it is very unstable and not recomended for production usage.

UPDATE: Added the link to download my compiled version of the ComicBook Chrome

This post, was written with Chrome at first. However, things just kept showing Error when I want to Save/Publish the post. Thus, it was posted from Safari. Thank you.

Yesterday night (Malaysia), I read about this new browser in the arena called Chrome. After having reading through its comicbook, I finally want to download and have a test on this browser. The browser was named “Chrome”.

Then, I started to google for it’s mainpage, as I want to download the installer for my Mac. Unfortunately, they still didn’t support for Mac / Linux, but they do have Windows version. Having cursing them (a bit), I’ve thought of my Parallels. So, there I go, run my Windows XP on my Parallels, and download this browser. The installation was a snap Weehooo~ Then, immediately, I run the Chrome.
