This mockups were made mainly targeting my classmates. However, it should be able to be wore by others too. To design this, I use the concept of simple, yet complicated. which, should bring some balance to the design.
It was a tuesday morning, and mama said to me that I’m going to accompany her to Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. No need to story how I manage to get to Kelantan, but I stayed there for a week.
There was this bright day, I went to Jeram Pasu waterfall which located at Padang Pak Amat. I went there because I felt so boring and I want to go for a refresh, but grandma forbid me because I was alone. Therefore, I just took a walk around.
Being a geology student, I tried to study about the waterfall outcrop, briefly. I had done no homework about this place, so I had no idea where to start.
Amazingly, the soil around the area is reddish and has a laterite based features. Perhaps it contained high percentage of hematite or iron oxides. The feature from nearby quarry represents the structure of the soil and I can simply assume that the whole mountain around the waterfall are having look-alike feature. Does this meant that the mountain (hill) is still new? They are hardly in hard rock form, and mostly brittle and fragile.
However, the waterfall itself is made of hard rock structure, of course. Because, without hard rock, the place will collapse within years or days and there won’t be such place called ‘waterfall’ over here. The rocks which build up the waterfall were highly based of quartz. There were joints and fractures all over the place.
Langkawi and Perlis : These are the two last region of Malaysia I ever visited. So far, I’ve been around West and East Malaysia. Not saying that I covered every places, but at least I’ve covered based on their state’s addresses. Hehe.
The trip to Langkawi? It was awesome, especially when you go there with friends. There were almost a thousand of photos taken, and I am sorry that they were uploaded to the owner’s Facebook account and I can’t share them here. Too lazy to grab each links, and put them here.
More photos..
Alhamdulillah, I safely back in Miri after a week of field work in Kuching. I guess, there are a lot of things I need to catch up but we’ll see how. Tests are getting near, every week. Tutorials, reports, assignments. Anyhoo, the trip in Kuching was not bad at all. Maybe we’re lacking of time, thus were not able to uncover the nice places to visit over there. Maybe next time. Insyallah.
Bismillahhirrahmanirrahim.
Today, I would like to review my whole semester as a 2nd Year, 1st Semester Applied Geology student. I would rather say, I’ve learn a lot this semester, and mainly not subjected to academic knowledge, but rather the proof of nature.
Ok, before I started to write a very long post, I realised that people won’t actually read it, and therefore, readers won’t have the idea of the post and can’t give any good responds. If I posted it online, it was meant to be read. At least, for me. Thus, I’ll only write the summary.
