  • Snow Leopard Changes And Improvements

It has been a week since my upgrade to Snow Leopard and I would like to share my experience poking around with this new Mac OS X. Some of them has been repeatedly reported by other, while some of the refreshment were not focused. So, today I would like to focus on the minor changes but huge improvement made by Apple for Snow Leopard.

On the arrival of Snow Leopard, Apple worked so hard in the pushing the industry to start utilising 64 bit application. Today, System Preferences by default will run in 64 bit architecture and if you want to access any 32 bit app, you will be informed to restart the app in 32 bit.

  • Upgrading From Leopard 10.5.8 To Snow Leopard Using Pendrive or Hard Disk

I bet those Apple users out there are craving to death on upgrading their machine box to Apple latest Mac OS X, codename Snow Leopard. You might have sneaking all over the web, reading about Snow Leopard and its reviews. Now, you decided that you want to continue upgrading you current Mac OS X version with Snow Leopard. Here, I’ll try my best to guide you upgrading from Leopard to Snow Leopard using External Storage, instead of the DVD itself.

However, this is just an another installation technique and not compulsory.

Cut it short, I’m back from my Outward Bound School, in Lumut, under PETRONAS yearly course. For the mean time, SARAH (my Macbook Pro) is not in good position and still under maintainence at Machinces Gardens. To date, I have 200+ feeds to read and catch up, and some albums to be done. Therefore, I shall update the blog later on, when I’m free and able to pour out my experience at Lumut.

  • Burning Disc Failed : Hardware or Software?

    by-default-3

Screenshot of the error Burn Failed Alert

Apparently, few weeks back, I can’t burn any DVD using my built-in SuperDrive burner. It kept showing the “Error code 0x8002006E“, and luckily it did not break the disc, even though the burning process failed. But, this is very annoying because I can’t backup anything to my DVD, such as my collections of Japanese Drama Series, or even my Full Series of Heroes, season 3. However, the drive can read any disc successfully, it just can’t write to DVD as I manage to create CDs from my iTunes  :???:  This is such a very bad thing, as CD only accommodate 700Mb, while DVD can loads up to 4.7Gb.
