Muallaf (18PL)

Muallaf, directed by the famous Malaysian director, Yasmin Ahmad in year 2008, the same director for ‘Sepet‘,’Gubra‘ and ‘Mukhsin‘.

This movie is very ‘heavy’. Personal speaking, you got to think deep, be open and must not shoot your finger without understanding the moral of the scene, dialogs and action. You also must not leave any point said and spoken by the actors. Not to forget, the behind the scene voices.

As a person who believed in religion and as a Muslim, this movie remind me of unity among believers and the openness between believers. Who said we can’t study about other’s religion? So, if you’re close minded and hate to think, I’m suggesting you to don’t bother to book a ticket for this movie. You shall be bored.

The quotes and issues unveiled in this movie are frankly true and lies among us, daily, everywhere. To think this as the last movie by Yasmin Ahmad, I hope that the director managed to remind people that you got to believed in your religion, not just by a sip, but till the touch of the bottom of it.

Wedding Clips – Huzaifah & A’ishah from abdus on Vimeo.

This short movie was edited using iMovie’08. Frankly, I love Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 much more compare to iLife product. Same goes to iDVD vs. Adobe Encore CS3.

Then, the clip was upload into the internet using Vimeo service, at www.vimeo.com as they provide 500MB permonth and support HD quality. At first, I wanted to upload the movie in HD, but, the size of the clip was more than 500MB. Thus, I had to reduce the resolution of the clip.

Anyhoo, again, congratulation to Asha and Huzai. :XO: :kiss:

Anyway, here are some of my review:

1. The actors were a bit too stiff. Not very natural sometimes. But, kudos, things are not that bad.
2. I enjoy the movie
3. The heroin is very cute indeed. He he (I wish my GF will looks like her, )
4. Midus was too motionless. The image of a very weak person indeed. Less confident.
5. Sarah was cute too. She can act very nice indeed.
6. There are still lots of holes need to be alert of. Anyhoo. Congrates to the Director.

However, one day, I manage to recover one online movie, at Gua TV, from GUA.com.my. Huhu. The series entitled “Luna Fantasiku”. This online show is awesome (at least, to me laa). It is a story about a guy name Midus (supposedly a character name in Final Fantasy), which finally met his dreamed girl named Luna (also a character from Final Fantasy) online, at Guaspace. Even though the it was a short movie for every series, I’m very addicted to it!
